Big Game?? An understatement!!

As a Hurricanes fan the week between games usually seems to drag on for what seems like an eternity, however the week between the debacle at Duke and the clash with GT seems to be passing at an accelerated rate of speed. As I begin to pack my tailgate gear for my trip to Atlanta I can't help but be equally nervous and excited about this showdown with the Yellow Jackets. Tell me something Hurricanes fans when was the last time a game meant this much to our program??? The last time I remember a single game meaning this much was the 2001 national title game. This game is about more than a win or a loss, this game is about pride and respect!! This is the game that everyone will be watching, watching to see if the Canes will crumble or if they will evoke the spirit of theU. This game is for Michael Irvin,Steve Walsh,Edgerrin James and Ed Reed, guys who paved the road for the legacy of the U. This is for the fans(the true fans) who believe in you even when you let us down. This game is for the critics who mock and kick us when we're down. This game is for the players who have failed to play up to UM standards. This game is a chance for Ryan Moore to prove he isn't a bust, this game is a chance for Kyle Wright to become a Miami Hurricane, this game is a chance for the defensive secondary to live up to the preseason hype, this game is a chance for Baby J to become a star, but most importantly this game is a chance hold up our fist defiantly in the face of the college football universe and make them remember the Hurricanes!!! There are those who say that I am overreacting, but as far as I'm concerned Saturday Oct.28 in Atlanta, Georgia play in the most important game in recent history. Please don't let us down!!
